Jane Castillo is a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturist of British Columbia. She completed a 3-year Acupuncture program and received her Diploma from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver in 2013. Before her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), she graduated from University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. Early in her TCM training, Jane suffered a sports related injury with a fractured vertebra. The practice of Chinese Medicine was central to her healing process and pain management. She is very grateful for the opportunity to work with all the talented practitioners at InterActive Sports Clinic and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and skills with the team and to be part of each patient’s healing journey.
In addition to her schooling, she has had the opportunity to take advanced studies with Chinese Medicine practitioners such as Jeffrey Yuen, Dr. Wei-Chieh Young, Dr. Richard Teh- Fu Tan, Susan Johnson, Debra Betts, Whitfield Reeves, Lonny Jarrett, Brandt Stickley, Dr. Janice Walton-Hadlock, Neil Gumenick, and Samantha Jennings.
When she is not working, she continues to take further studies in the field of Chinese Medicine and explores other healing modalities with energy, sound, and plant spirit medicine.
She loves spending time with her husband, two cats, family and friends and enjoys meditating, yoga, snowboarding, hiking, and coffee.
